This shirt is made from a reclaimed Ilkal saree, originating in the town of Ilkal in Karnataka. They feature a special technique called Tope Teni, which joins the body and pallu threads during weaving.
The Ashoka shirt is designed with borders running vertically in the front placket, along with textural detail-pleats on either side of it. It features a relaxed-fit silhouette with a half sleeve and cotton lining.
